Ramesh Bimagani, Clinic Director, was drawn to a career in physiotherapy because he wanted to help people, in particular, to assist patients recovering from sports injuries so they could return to their sport of choice with an expanded participation.
He achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy and has been practicing physiotherapy since 2000.
During that time he has worked extensively in the areas of musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and cardio pulmonary rehabilitation, and sports injuries at various health care facilities in India and Canada.
His quest for knowledge and adventure combined, encouraged him to move from Bangalore to Calgary in 2005, where he has since been practicing his profession successfully. He has also acquired certification in spinal manipulation.
His other advance skills include use of manual therapy, myofascial release techniques, personalized exercise prescriptions, vestibular therapy, and use of accupuncture, dry-needling/IMS.
He is affiliated with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Alberta College of Physiotherapists.
Ramesh also provides foot assessments and custom-foot orthotics.
He is a family man, and his wife, Arthi Bimagani is a dentist. They have two lovely children, Tanusri and Pranav.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also has a keen interest in sports including badminton, cricket, hiking and skiing.
He is committed to the community he serves and is a firm believer in giving back as a volunteer and champion of projects. Because of that he has achieved a reputation of distinction in his community. He contributes greatly to a number of not for profit organizations to spread awareness about the practice of healthy living.
